Best Podcasts for Veteran Entrepreneurs Part One: PopSmoke

By StreetShares on August 4, 2015

If you love a good story, chances are you love a good podcast, too. Good news for you, there’s a wide range of podcasts out there by veteran entrepreneurs, for veteran entrepreneurs. We’re excited to kick off part one of a four week series highlighting our top four podcasts for veteran small business owners.

Starting off, we’d like to introduce you to PopSmoke, a podcast designed to deliver training and advice for transitioning veterans, featuring veteran artists, creatives and entrepreneurs. PopSmoke’s Founder is Matt Pagan, a Marine Corps veteran with a logistics background.

“I started PopSmoke because the Transition Assistance Program for veterans is outdated and ineffective,” Matt states on his website, popsmoke.net. “I believe people transitioning [out of the military] are overwhelmed with resources and cookie-cutter solutions, and feel part of the solution is connecting with real people and having real conversations instead.”  Popsmoke-Web-Header

Matt has interviewed dozens of entrepreneurs from veteran-owned companies around the U.S.—from the Director of TechStars Patriot BootCamp to the CEO of Man-PACK, as seen on ABC’s Shark Tank.  PopSmoke has been ranked as #1 New & Noteworthy on iTunes.

StreetShares CEO, Mark L. Rockefeller, was featured on PopSmoke this past spring. Listen to his interview here.
